From the oil rigs of the world to the pages of a novel, J.C. Keenan’s life has been a journey of extraordinary contrasts.

Born in Ireland, he launched a dynamic career as an engineer that propelled him to the remote corners of the globe. Immersed in diverse cultures and landscapes, he gathered the raw experiences that would one day fuel his fiction. After years of international adventure, he traded his nomadic existence for the sun-soaked shores of Sydney, Australia, finding a home near the iconic Bondi Beach.

It was there, embraced by the vibrant coastal culture, that the storyteller within truly began to emerge. Though he began writing in 2000, Keenan meticulously honed his craft, resulting in a remarkable debut: the 2025 publication of four distinct and compelling novels. His repertoire showcases impressive range, from the science fiction space adventure of Lou-Lou.

The gritty detective work in Zac Fisher: Brownstone, to the interconnected narratives of his Dan Murphy series: Castle Beach Road, The Sentinels, and Legacy. When not crafting stories from his favorite coffee shop, Keenan can be found reading, experimenting in the kitchen, or plotting his next travel escapade. Though a fresh voice in the literary world, his rich professional background and global perspective infuse every story with authenticity and gripping depth.
